Chicken biryani

INGREDIENTS

  1. Chicken 1.5 kg

  2. 1 kg Rice

  3. 6 Onions

  4. 2 tomatoes

  5. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

  6. 1 cup curd

  7. 3 potatoes

  8. 1/4 tsp saffron

  9. 1 tsp tandoori biryani masala

  10. 2 tbsp red chilli powder

  11. 1 tbsp garam masala powder

  12. Salt as required

  13. Handful of mint & corriander leaves chopped

  14. Oil as required

  15. Whole spices


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Marinate Chicken in curd, ginger garlic paste, red chilly pwdr, salt, garam masala powder, tandoori masala fr 3-4 hrs. Give it coal dhungar 1/2 hour before cooking.

  2. Boil rice with salt, whole spices & oil.

  4. Fry onions(birista) & keep aside.

  5. In a pan heat oil add whole spices. Add marinated chicken. Cook for sometime. Add potaoes, fried onions & chopped tomatoes. Cook till chicken is 3/4th cooked.

  6. Check the seasoning. Now sprinkle corriander leaves, mint leaves, 1-2 slit green chillies. Add rice. Over rice sprinkle fried onions, corriander leaves, saffron, orange color & few spoon oil.

  7. Cover with lid tightly. Seal it using a cloth. Let it cook on dum fr 20 minutes. To serve remove rice in a different dish & masala in different. Serve with raita of your choice
